Anchorage, AK- For Alaskans interested in the cannabis industry, the highly anticipated date to start applying for marijuana business licenses, takes place in just two days, February 24th.  However, how heavily do the Feds and grey area weigh, on the minds of all involved and interested?

Your Alaska Link spoke to attorney Jana Weltzin, who is an expert on marijuana business law and regulation compliance.  Weltzin discussed her stance on potential transportation obstacles, “To prohibit somebody to use an Alaska State Highway to get though an opted out area to an area that has decided to engage in this commercial establishment would be limiting our commerce.  So I think it is absolutely legal to go through opted out areas.”
